Vehicle History

Built from 1973 to 1989, the so-called "G-model" is the epitome of an air-cooled Porsche 911. It was the successor to the original model and met the increased demands for safety, comfort and environmental friendliness at the beginning of the 1970s. The most striking visual changes were the more powerful bumpers, which could withstand an impact of up to 8 km/h without permanent deformation. Above all, the last expansion stage offered here with the engine enlarged to 3.2 liters while retaining the classic look is particularly popular. With the introduction of this engine in 1984, the name "Carrera" also returned and from then on decorated the attractive rear end of the car.

The 911 shown here presents itself in a special and rare color combination with an exterior in brown metallic and a dark brown leather interior. According to the registration certificate, this is the variant with catalytic converter and an output of 152 kW (207 hp). The beautiful classic Porsche was first delivered to Switzerland in 1985, then passed into the possession of two other owners in Italy for several years before returning to Germany in the early 2000s. Since then, it has been in the possession of the current owner. Prior to the takeover, the vehicle was technically inspected by a renowned Porsche specialist and a complete engine overhaul was carried out as a precautionary measure. In the hands of the current owner, the Porsche, which is used purely as a collector's car only at weekends in the summer, has covered around 50,000 km and after almost 40 years shows a low total mileage of only ~137,500 km.

Exterior & Interior

The original paintwork, which is otherwise in good condition all around, shows a few scratches on the hood caused by an uninvited visit from a cat. These could probably be removed by an expert paint treatment without repainting. The interior is also in surprisingly good original condition and, apart from minor signs of use, the only major conspicuous feature is a repairable tear on the side of the driver's seat.

Technical Condition

The vehicle has been regularly serviced by the same specialist since its return to Germany and is in good overall technical condition. The six-cylinder boxer engine shows no leaks, starts well, runs excellently and idles smoothly. The steering, brakes, transmission and electrics work perfectly. The last general inspection was carried out in September 2023 and attests that the 911 has no defects apart from the rear fog light, which has since been repaired. According to the owner, the vehicle is accident-free and is in amazingly good authentic original condition all round.

The vehicle is being offered on behalf of the owner.

FAQ

To bid, you must register as a bidder. The registration process on HeartBids also includes registering with our free escrow. To protect our users and to comply with EU legal requirements, your identity must be verified during this process. HeartBids adheres to the highest privacy standards and never publicly shares information from the identity verification process. We only share whether the verification was successful.

With an instant bid, the amount entered is immediately confirmed as a bid. This means you can make large bid increments without numerous lower bids in between.

Absentee bidding allows you to set a maximum bid up to which bids are automatically placed for you. In this case, the absentee bid always increases by the current minimum bid. Absentee bids are especially interesting if you can not actively participate at the end of an auction and want to bid in absentia.

Please note that if there are several identical highest bids, the bidder who placed their bid first will get the bid!
The minimum bids increment depending on the status of the auction. Up to 50.000,00 €, the minimum bid is 250 €. Between 50.001 € to 100.000 €, it is 500 € and from 100.001 € the minimum bid is 1.000 €.
After you win an auction, our escrow will ask you via email to deposit the vehicle price and the commission into the escrow account. The account is automatically set up and for this transaction only. Simultaneously, you can contact the seller and arrange the vehicle transfer. The escrow will inform the seller as soon as you have deposited the money. At this moment, a 14-day payout period begins, after which the money is automatically paid out to the seller unless you object to the payout. If you need a more extended payout period, e.g., because of long transportation, you can stop the automatic payout. However, you are obliged to release the money as soon as you receive the vehicle, and it matches the description.
The buyer's commission is 6% (incl. 19% VAT) of the auction proceeds or at least 600€ (incl. 19% VAT). With increasing auction results, the percentage of the commission drops. The exact amount of commission can be found in our pricing overview
Added value for buyers:

The trust-based payment process takes place step by step, thereby preventing you from being left with no money or goods at the end of the day or paying for something that you did not order or commission. With an escrow agent, you can be sure that your contract partner endeavors to carry out the basic business quickly and to your satisfaction.

When you hand over your vehicle in person, you do not have to make a detour to your bank to withdraw cash and transport it from A to B - you just pay on delivery quickly and easily with one click

Added value for sellers

. You do not have to take any financial advance risk. The buyer or customer pays the agreed price (also partial or partial payments possible) before you ship the vehicle. Once the money has been deposited into the escrow account, the buyer won't receive the money without your consent.
