This Mercedes C180 "Esprit" series W202 was first registered in February 1998. The first owner kept the vehicle until a mileage of just under 30,000 until he sold it due to his age in 2022 — the photos date from this time. With the first owner, as with the current owner, the vehicle was always garaged and rarely used. The seller has not used the car in winter or bad weather. Based on the vehicle's condition, it can be assumed that the first owner also did not move the vehicle in the rain or winter. However, it cannot be guaranteed. Currently, the car has a mileage of about 34,000km. Unfortunately, the vehicle is missing maintenance records. However, according to the seller, the condition suggests that the indicated mileage is correct.
The "Esprit" equipment line was first introduced for the C-Class in 1993 and was aimed at a younger, modern target group. Accordingly, the model is lowered by 25 millimeters, the seats and door panels are upholstered in colored fabrics ("Brighton" trim), and the interior trim strips have a specific blue design. There is also "Esprit" lettering on the gear knob and fenders, for example. The Mercedes is painted in azurite blue metallic (366U). According to the seller, the interior is in year-old condition. Except for a thermometer placed on the center console by the first owner, the interior is entirely original. Rather untypical for the model, the vehicle has no rust, according to the seller.
Since the C180 offered here was built after the major model update in 1997, it is equipped with driver and passenger airbags and side airbags for the front passengers. Furthermore, it has an electric sunroof, the radio "MB Special" and a through-loading possibility to the trunk.
The seller reports that the offered C-Class has no technical defects, is accident-free, and that in the vehicle was not smoked. The 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine with 90 kW/122 hp revs up cleanly, the manual 5-speed transmission shifts smoothly and the suspension functions flawlessly. According to the seller, the C180 is in exceptionally good, trouble-free maintenance condition. The Mercedes has TÜV (German MOT) until 06/25.
