Built from 1981 to 1991, the Mercedes-Benz C126 model series was one of the most luxurious coupés of its time. This particular 560 SEC is a unique piece of history, being one of the last examples of its model series. It was first registered in 1991 and has a fascinating journey from Hawaii to Germany. The original invoice shows that the Mercedes 560 SEC cost 77,805 US dollars. The well-maintained example was driven by a lady in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 1991 to 2021 until she sold it for reasons of age. The new owner had all the necessary repairs and maintenance work carried out and drove the car himself daily in Hawaii before transferring it to Germany in the fall of 2022. The vehicle was converted to German standards in Germany and received TÜV certification (until 05/25) and a classic car certificate. The owner then drove the vehicle in Germany during the summer months. With a total of two owners, the car has covered approx. 93,000 miles (approx. 150,000 km) to date and has never seen snow or salt. The 560 SEC comes with numerous documents dating back to its first registration.
The Mercedes 560 SEC was ordered by the first owner in the timeless color combination of midnight blue (904U) and grey leather (268). According to the seller, the vehicle is in a very well-kept and age-appropriate condition. The Mercedes has no rust, a flaking clear coat, or a cracked dashboard. The leather is also in excellent condition with a light patina. In addition, the seller has ensured that all equipment elements and displays work perfectly. Even the original radio is still present. The vehicle is unusually well-equipped for its time. This includes airbags for the front passengers, automatic air conditioning, electrically adjustable and heated orthopedic front seats, electric sunroof, electric rear sunblind, and heat-insulating glazing.
The first owner had the vehicle regularly serviced and all necessary repairs carried out. Only in the last few years of her ownership did she not move the car or have it serviced. However, the new owner did this immediately after the purchase and overhauled the vehicle. The vehicle is accompanied by a wealth of documents and receipts, from the original invoice to the owner's manual and maintenance records. This extensive documentation provides a comprehensive history of the vehicle's care and maintenance, ensuring you can purchase with confidence. As mentioned, the car was converted to German standards (headlights and bumpers). The vehicle has TÜV until 05/2025 and an H-approval certificate. According to the seller, no known outstanding work, defects, or even accident damage exists. The vehicle is in immaculate collector's condition - get in and enjoy the ride.
