Vehicle History

The Jaguar XJ12 Sovereign on offer was registered to its first owner in Germany on 05.01.1987 and thus is a Series III built between 1979 and 1992. Since 2010, the Jaguar has been with its current owner as part of a vehicle collection in a heated garage. This owner acquired the vehicle from a car collector friend. The current mileage is around 187,000, and the car has been driven very little since 2010 but has always been maintained. According to the seller, the Jag’s complete history is known. Original service receipts, owner's manual, and toolkit are included with the vehicle.

Exterior & Interior

According to the seller, the vehicle is free of rust, and the paint in green metallic was professionally renewed a few years ago. Due to the low mileage since then, the XJ has no dents or scratches. The Jaguar has been fitted with 16-inch three-piece BBS RS wheels. These very rare 3-piece forged rims were only manufactured from 1983 to 1995.

The interior is lined in black leather except for the headliner. Just like the burl wood trim, the leather is in very well-maintained condition. Only on the center console, the burl wood has come loose after the years and would need to be reattached. The beige perforated leather headliner has also lost support due to age in August 2021 and has been completely replaced.

Mechanical Condition

The 295 hp 5.3l 12-cylinder transmits its power to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission. The transmission was replaced with a new one by Jaguar at 183,390 km. Thus, the transmission has run only about 4,000 km. Experts have always serviced the engine, and it has no maintenance backlog. However, the seller mentions that it sweats a bit and should be resealed. The engine and transmission operate smoothly, according to the owner.

The Jaguar's amenities include a stainless-steel exhaust system, power windows all around, the original radio, and automatic climate control. Everything is fully functional, according to the owner.

The vehicle has an H certificate (German historic registration) and will receive new TÜV (German MOT) before being handed over to the new owner.

The Jaguar is sold on behalf of the owner.

To bid, you must register as a bidder. The registration process on HeartBids also includes registering with our free escrow. To protect our users and to comply with EU legal requirements, your identity must be verified during this process. HeartBids adheres to the highest privacy standards and never publicly shares information from the identity verification process. We only share whether the verification was successful.

With an instant bid, the amount entered is immediately confirmed as a bid. This means you can make large bid increments without numerous lower bids in between.

Absentee bidding allows you to set a maximum bid up to which bids are automatically placed for you. In this case, the absentee bid always increases by the current minimum bid. Absentee bids are especially interesting if you can not actively participate at the end of an auction and want to bid in absentia.

Please note that if there are several identical highest bids, the bidder who placed their bid first will get the bid!
The minimum bids increment depending on the status of the auction. Up to 50.000,00 €, the minimum bid is 250 €. Between 50.001 € to 100.000 €, it is 500 € and from 100.001 € the minimum bid is 1.000 €.
After you win an auction, our escrow will ask you via email to deposit the vehicle price and the commission into the escrow account. The account is automatically set up and for this transaction only. Simultaneously, you can contact the seller and arrange the vehicle transfer. The escrow will inform the seller as soon as you have deposited the money. At this moment, a 14-day payout period begins, after which the money is automatically paid out to the seller unless you object to the payout. If you need a more extended payout period, e.g., because of long transportation, you can stop the automatic payout. However, you are obliged to release the money as soon as you receive the vehicle, and it matches the description.
The buyer's commission is 6% (incl. 19% VAT) of the auction proceeds or at least 600€ (incl. 19% VAT). With increasing auction results, the percentage of the commission drops. The exact amount of commission can be found in our pricing overview
Added value for buyers:

The trust-based payment process takes place step by step, thereby preventing you from being left with no money or goods at the end of the day or paying for something that you did not order or commission. With an escrow agent, you can be sure that your contract partner endeavors to carry out the basic business quickly and to your satisfaction.

When you hand over your vehicle in person, you do not have to make a detour to your bank to withdraw cash and transport it from A to B - you just pay on delivery quickly and easily with one click

Added value for sellers

. You do not have to take any financial advance risk. The buyer or customer pays the agreed price (also partial or partial payments possible) before you ship the vehicle. Once the money has been deposited into the escrow account, the buyer won't receive the money without your consent.
