Vehicle History

This BMW 850Ci is one of only 30,603 examples of the E31 luxury coupé series built from 1989 to 1999. It was registered to its first owner in January 1993 and is now with its fourth owner. All owners of this 850Ci are known and, apart from the first owner, are collectors and enthusiasts of the model series. This vehicle has been in the hands of its current owner since 2011, and he has only driven it for around 2,000 km in exclusively fine weather. In total, the BMW has only been driven approx. 85,000 km since 1993. According to the seller, there is no known accident damage.

Exterior & Interior

A Classic Data short assessment from 2023 certifies that the vehicle is in very good overall body condition with no visible signs of corrosion and with even body gaps. The body of this BMW 850Ci is painted in the color Alpine White II uni. According to the expert's assessment, this is probably the original paintwork. The layer thickness measurement indicates possible repainting only on the rear right side wall. All add-on parts, windows, seals, and covers are in very good condition.

The beige leather interior is rated as “excellent condition” in the short assessment, with good upholstery and undamaged leather. All accessories are fully functional, and all displays and instruments are in perfect working order. The trunk is also spotless, and the onboard tools are complete and as good as new.

Technical Condition

This BMW 850Ci is powered by a V12-cylinder engine, also known from the 7-series of the time. The engine transmits its 220 kW (300 hp) or 450 Nm to the rear axle via a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

Like the rest of the vehicle, the engine is also in impeccable condition, according to the expert report. It runs smoothly, and no defects were found. All drivetrain and chassis parts are also in good condition. The underbody is also in excellent condition with no visible defects. The technical condition suggests that the approx. 85,000 km read-off also corresponds to the actual mileage.

Despite the very low mileage, the owner has had the vehicle serviced regularly. Most recently, the fuel system was replaced in 2021, and extensive maintenance was carried out for just under €4,000. A fault-free classic car certificate as per §23 StVZO from 2023 is available so that nothing stands in the way of a historic vehicle registration. The next general inspection is due in August 2023. Overall, the vehicle is certified as being in a very good state of care and maintenance and has an overall Classic Data rating of 2.

FAQ

To bid, you must register as a bidder. The registration process on HeartBids also includes registering with our free escrow. To protect our users and to comply with EU legal requirements, your identity must be verified during this process. HeartBids adheres to the highest privacy standards and never publicly shares information from the identity verification process. We only share whether the verification was successful.

With an instant bid, the amount entered is immediately confirmed as a bid. This means you can make large bid increments without numerous lower bids in between.

Absentee bidding allows you to set a maximum bid up to which bids are automatically placed for you. In this case, the absentee bid always increases by the current minimum bid. Absentee bids are especially interesting if you can not actively participate at the end of an auction and want to bid in absentia.

Please note that if there are several identical highest bids, the bidder who placed their bid first will get the bid!
The minimum bids increment depending on the status of the auction. Up to 50.000,00 €, the minimum bid is 250 €. Between 50.001 € to 100.000 €, it is 500 € and from 100.001 € the minimum bid is 1.000 €.
After you win an auction, our escrow will ask you via email to deposit the vehicle price and the commission into the escrow account. The account is automatically set up and for this transaction only. Simultaneously, you can contact the seller and arrange the vehicle transfer. The escrow will inform the seller as soon as you have deposited the money. At this moment, a 14-day payout period begins, after which the money is automatically paid out to the seller unless you object to the payout. If you need a more extended payout period, e.g., because of long transportation, you can stop the automatic payout. However, you are obliged to release the money as soon as you receive the vehicle, and it matches the description.
The buyer's commission is 6% (incl. 19% VAT) of the auction proceeds or at least 600€ (incl. 19% VAT). With increasing auction results, the percentage of the commission drops. The exact amount of commission can be found in our pricing overview
Added value for buyers:

The trust-based payment process takes place step by step, thereby preventing you from being left with no money or goods at the end of the day or paying for something that you did not order or commission. With an escrow agent, you can be sure that your contract partner endeavors to carry out the basic business quickly and to your satisfaction.

When you hand over your vehicle in person, you do not have to make a detour to your bank to withdraw cash and transport it from A to B - you just pay on delivery quickly and easily with one click

Added value for sellers

. You do not have to take any financial advance risk. The buyer or customer pays the agreed price (also partial or partial payments possible) before you ship the vehicle. Once the money has been deposited into the escrow account, the buyer won't receive the money without your consent.
